An outstanding score of 46 points (gross 69!) by the winner Stephen Cooper. Jim Kerr 41 points and Michael Swingler 40 points were the leaders in a very high scoring day. The enforced rest has obviously paid off, for some. For the full picture, please click HERE

Christmas Fayre–Update
What we’ve all been waiting for! The 2010 Christmas Fayre will now be held on Tues 18th January on the Carthagena course. Starting times are as before and posted on the notice board and the club website. Please contact the Organiser, Graham McKay if you are unable to attend or if you now wish to be included. If the weather once again prevents play, then the Captain will present the prizes on the day using the cards to draw prize order.
As an afterthought, it would be helpful if you were to tick your name on the starting list. This would enable the Organiser to know who to contact.

Christmas Fayre Competition
No prizes for guessing that the Christmas Fayre has been postponed, due to adverse weather conditions. It is hoped that we will hold the competition sometime in January. Please revisit this site for more information when conditions improve.
William Skelding – Seniors’ Captain - 2011
My chosen charities are: The Prostate Cancer Charity and The Alzheimer’s Society.
The Prostate Cancer Charity gives vital support to anyone affected by prostate cancer and provides funds for a robust research programme.
The Alzheimer’s society works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Both charities are very relevant to us as seniors and I am sure you will be happy to know that your raffle money and donations are helping to support such good causes.
William.

Match with the Ladies
A dry, mild but gusty day was enjoyed by Seniors and Ladies in the Texas Scramble organised with the usual efficiency by Graham Cheaney and John Chatwin. The format chosen resulted in most groups finishing within 4 hours.
Winners were Anne Gurney, Ros Kensall, John Plant and Alan Fowler with a net score of 65.7.
Second; Marilynn Wiltshire, Rosemary Chambers, Mike Swingler and Ken Robinson net 65.9.
Third; Lesley Lewin, Jean Reynolds, Cess (Titleist) and Cess (Bridgestone) net 66.6.
The explanation for the last team was that Gerry Gentle did not turn up and therefore the more than capable Cess Holden took his part as well as her own.
