Seniors Dress Code for Interclub Matches
Just to remind you, as we approach the first match of the season, that there is a preferred dress code for the team, when representing the Seniors against other Clubs.
You are requested to wear a Seniors polo shirt and sweater for the match. Then you should have a Seniors Tie when you change for the meal after the Match.
The stocks I have below are all that I have. If you need an item, please contact me asap. There are some orders for kit but I would like to make a more substantial order, in order to keep the costs down.
I am usually about on Tuesdays and Thursdays but you can contact me via the details below if you are not at the Club when I am.
Thanks, Peter Hollingsworth. 01462 – 834854, panda_hollingsworth@yahoo.co.uk

Active/Inactive Handicaps
Just a reminder that if members have allowed their handicaps to become inactive, they will need to enter three qualifying cards in order for their handicaps to become active again.
The Committee has decided that only those with active handicaps will be selected for the Inter-club matches.
Also, those with inactive handicaps will not be eligible to win trophies or prizes in the Seniors Competitions.
They will, however, be allowed to play in singles stroke play/stableford competitions. Their cards will count towards restitution of their handicaps provided that the competition is a qualifier.
Alternatively, players may submit supplementary cards by ‘Signing In’ at the Pro Shop. Only one supplementary card may be submitted per week. Players may play white or yellow tees, as preferred. The completed and signed cards should be placed in the white metal box in the clubhouse foyer. Please note that rounds played on the Carthagena course will not be acceptable until after 1st April ‘11 when the bunkers will be in play.
Players are urged to re-activate their handicaps as early as possible to take advantage of the coming season’s many competitions.

Christmas Fayre 2010–Results
An outstanding score of 46 points (gross 69!) by the winner Stephen Cooper. Jim Kerr 41 points and Michael Swingler 40 points were the leaders in a very high scoring day. The enforced rest has obviously paid off, for some. For the full picture, please click HERE

Christmas Fayre–Update
What we’ve all been waiting for! The 2010 Christmas Fayre will now be held on Tues 18th January on the Carthagena course. Starting times are as before and posted on the notice board and the club website. Please contact the Organiser, Graham McKay if you are unable to attend or if you now wish to be included. If the weather once again prevents play, then the Captain will present the prizes on the day using the cards to draw prize order.
As an afterthought, it would be helpful if you were to tick your name on the starting list. This would enable the Organiser to know who to contact.

Christmas Fayre Competition
No prizes for guessing that the Christmas Fayre has been postponed, due to adverse weather conditions. It is hoped that we will hold the competition sometime in January. Please revisit this site for more information when conditions improve.
William Skelding – Seniors’ Captain - 2011
My chosen charities are: The Prostate Cancer Charity and The Alzheimer’s Society.
The Prostate Cancer Charity gives vital support to anyone affected by prostate cancer and provides funds for a robust research programme.
The Alzheimer’s society works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Both charities are very relevant to us as seniors and I am sure you will be happy to know that your raffle money and donations are helping to support such good causes.
William.
