Just about 100 Ladies and Seniors took part in the Greensomes Competition on the Carthagena. The weather was not all that good but no rain and not too windy. Everybody enjoyed the day and woe betide any of the Seniors who didn't taste their playing partner's offering to the Pastries and Cakes table. As ever, the Ladies did us proud with some fantastic offerings, which were well appreciated by all.
Scoring did not seem as
good as in previous years due, in part, to the rather bobbly state of the
greens, which seemed to have a mind of their own once you hit the putt !
So, to the winners. In
third place with 41 points were Pamela Dean and Phil White. In second place
with 42 points were Nikki Jackson and Richard Cobb and the winners were
Adrienne Massey and Steve Cooper with 43 points.
Many thanks are due to
Les Bolland who did all sorts of mixing and matching including on the day and
some great raffle prizes.
Over £370 was raised for the two Captains'
Charities, well done everyone.
